Biometeorology is an interdisciplinary science studying the interactions between atmospheric processes and living organisms – plants, animals and humans. The most important question that biometeorology answers is:

How does weather and climate impact the well-being of all living creatures?

This would include reproduction, population fluctuations, and general health of the organism community.

Some example topics in biometeorology include:

* the relationship between agricultural yields and weather

* how extreme weather affects cattle feeding habits

* the impact of weather on human health

* how pollution affects certain tree species

* calculating the level of tolerance of organisms to environmental extremes
